Designed and manufactured in Australia by Micronics GPS Pty Ltd, the "Wearable GPS" (pat.appl) is the most precise, lightest submetre/centimetre system available worldwide. The Micronics TUSANI™ is the world's first DGPS that allows full integration from submetre to Dual frequency RTK for exploration and mine site surveying use, within the one model. This allows maximum return for client's investment as their future needs grow. The TUSANI allows maximum productivity and safety due to its "High Visibility" material, and eliminates fatigue due to work related shoulder strain or back stiffness. Fieldworkers carrying obsolete backpack DGPS units powered by lead acid batteries experience these problems. Even units weighing 3Kg can cause loss of productivity after a few hours use. With a weight of less than 1.2Kg with batteries, the Micronics TUSANI ™ Wearable DGPS Vest can be worn on foot, motorbikes and in vehicles for maximum productivity without causing work related injuries. The TUSANI unit is controlled by a ruggedised Windows CE datalogger with the easy to use Graphical software to allow seamless operation with Desktop GIS management systems such as ArcView, Mapinfo and ER Mapper. This means that clients can download coloured field maps, drill hole positions and other relevant features on the sunlight readable 2007™ data logger and update this information in the same native format as their database. The mining company's reporting standard attribute list opens up automatically when feature are to be saved. Once out in the field the operator can use the moving GPS cursor display to navigate to areas of interest. Using the preloaded maps, update the map itself and relevant information in the predefined company's standard attribute list. At the end of each working day the files can be downloaded via the internet or Laptop computer. This method is what mining clients have been requesting but up to now has been unavailable as an affordable option.
